Winged Bean: In certain areas they are known as Four-Angled Bean or Goa Bean, the pale green pods, which are about 12-15 cm long and 3 cm wide, have a frilly edge along four side. A twining perennial bearing large pretty white or pale blue flowers, young shoots and tuberous roots are all edible, where they are eaten raw or blanched. It is highly nutritious, containing both protein and oil. A vigorous plant which can be allowed to grow along the fence.
