Bunching Onion, Scallion, Welsh onion, Green onion or Japanese onion are colloquial names. Scallions are long, with a white stem end that does not bulge out, that actually never form bulbs.
Quick and easy to grow. Crisp and crunchy, with plump white stems topped with rich green leaves. Popular variety. Very versatile in salads, stir-fries and as a garnish.
HINT: Avoid over watering – seeds may rot before germination if soil is too wet.
No thinning necessary and no additional fertiliser needed once planted.
