An easy-to-grow annual herb to 90cm tall with feathery, light green foliage producing umbrella shaped yellow flower clusters. The leaves have a pungent, bitter sweet taste. The seeds have an aromatic aniseed flavour.
Harvesting: Harvest leaves just as the flowers open. For seeds, hang clusters in warm, dry place with tray beneath to catch seeds.
Use: Thea leaves finely chopped to flavour omelets, soups and seafood dishes, add just before cooking is complete. Use the seeds in pickling vinegar and to flavour Cole slaw, white meats and stews.
Ideal for pots and containers.
