Spinach is also known by its Cantonese name ‘Poh Choy ’. Originally from Persia. Medium and upright plant grow vigorously and quickly with large, smooth, glossy green leaves with rather long petioles.
This vegetable is highly regarded for its vitamin and mineral rich contents. It is reputed to contain vitamin A precursor and vitamin B & C. The leaves are eaten boiled and have a distinctive flavour agreeable to most people.
