A hardy evergreen perennial, which forms a dense, spreading dwarf shrub. The strongly scented, aromatic leaves have a mild spicy flavour.
Harvesting: Pick the fresh leaves as needed. For drying leaves, cut entire plant just before it flowers, tie in small bunches and hang in the shade.
Use: Thyme enhances meats, soups, vegetables and poultry stuffing. Chop and use with discretion. It is usually a part of the bouquet garnish.
Sow: An ideal herb to be grown direct in pots and containers. Use Horti Seed & Potting Mix for seed raising. Keep moist.
